Chef Jewell brings more than a decade of culinary experience to Jr. Chef Central. A graduate of the California Culinary Academy, San Francisco, she’s been recognized throughout her career for being a visionary Chef and Instructor. With an in-depth knowledge of the cooking industry, and expertise in Culinary Art trends such as food preparation, menu development, event planning/catering, and inventory purchasing/control, Chef Jewell brings solid organizational, communication, and team building skills to our organization.
From Kitchen Management to Chef Instruction, Chef Jewell has established a reputation for efficiency, accuracy and exceptional service. These traits, along with her excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated commitment to helping others, made her a natural fit for Jr. Chef Central.
Her resume includes stints in the kitchens of the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, and the Ritz Carlton at Lake Las Vegas in Henderson, Nevada, as well as an Instructor/Counselor assisting with meal planning and preparation for disabled persons and, most recently, a position of Chef Instructor at California culinary school.
Chef Jewell looks forward to sharing her professional expertise while ensuring your child learns his or her way around the kitchen in the safest, most efficient and effective and FUN manner possible.
Teaching kids to make healthier lifestyle choices for themselves and, by extension, their families; while focusing on the common denominator of food to bridge cultural, social and economic divides among young people.
